I’ll Be Home for Christmas…LITERALLY
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season. Although I had my fair share of Christmas cookies and watched all my favorite Christmas movies, this holiday season was wildly different for me. Typically, I play over 30 shows in December with my band, Seasons. Due to Covid, however, we were only able to play a few virtual gigs. Although I did enjoy getting to have extra free time to enjoy the holiday season, I will say I truly missed the Christmas tour. Hopefully next year will be different!
2020 is officially over and now we are in the year 2021! Or as I like to call it, Twenty-FUN.
I’ve already started the new year with some new projects:
The 365 Days of Tunes Challenge. I decided I would record myself playing a tune a day. Click here to watch the first video! Be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell on my youtube channel if you’d like to follow me on this journey!
Album. Hoping to have my album done this year! No new news with this project, but I’m still sticking with it.
Collaborations. I also have a couple collaborations in the works with musician friends. Can’t wait to share!
Although 2020 was filled with fear, stress, and uncertainty, I learned a lot from it. In the words of Ariana Grande, ‘I learned from the pain, and turned out amazing.’ 2020 taught me how to regroup. It taught me to not get discouraged when goals are not met. It taught me that I can always be working on something to become a better musician. Finally, it taught me that we need the arts more than ever. Whether you’re an artist or an artist appreciator, be sure to take the time to appreciate the beauty the arts add to this world.
I look forward to sharing new music with you all this year!
Cheers,
-Grace
Besides my various musical projects, here are the other things I have been doing to keep myself entertained:
READING: Currently, I’m not reading anything, but I’m thinking of rereading The Fellowship of the Ring.
WATCHING: Just finished watching all my favorite Christmas movies.
LISTENING: The Bells of Dublin by The Chieftains (lovely record).
DRINKING: Hot chocolate with Bailey’s Irish Cream (it’s a delicacy).
